Product information "Thors Hammer pendant, Skane, brass, small"
Brass replica of 1000-year-old Thors Hammer found in Skane, Sweden.
In Norse mythology, Mjolnir is the hammer of Thor. For a time Thor was the highest germanic god, especially among free pheasants and warriors. The scandinavian kings believed in Odin as the highest god. In mythology the dwarf Brokk forged the Mjolnir. It is said to be the most fearsome weapon in Norse mythology that never missed its mark. It is often referred to as either a club, axe, or hammer, and is capable of toppling giants and destroying mountains with a single blow. Today the thorshammer is worn as ornament or lucky charm, or else as a symbol of paganism and atheism in a christian community.
